Ritu, an acid attack survivor, sits in front of Delhi police headquarters protesting for better laws in cases of acid attacks. The increasing number of acid attacks has left thousands of women disfigured and in constant trauma of dealing with life after the attack. Ritu received 45% burns on her body and 90% on her face. She lost her left eye and her right eyesight was affected as well. While many victims can't outlive the attack, the ones who do turn into activists like Ritu, to help other survivors restart their lives, to spread awareness to other people about possible preventive strategies, and to fight against this heinous crime. Their fight is not just against these criminal minds but against the whole criminal justice system and the entire society.
